Site Operations Unit Lead Silvassa & BD

JOB PURPOSE:

Co-responsible for Unit's results and succeeding in technical/site KPIs stablished for the Unit (responsibility shared with squad members under this unit) Ensures compliance with Safety ,Quality and People, modeling OnePSS principles Manages technicians with VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) competencies, for multiple Squads organized in the Unit - as needed to ensure the best experience possible for all individuals within each squad and the squad as a whole.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support squads in their needs to run daily production activities, enabling them to execute daily production schedule to deliver the best product and customer experience Be an escalation point for tasks and projects prioritization, problem solving, continuous improvement, conflict resolution - displaying VACC behaviors and prioritizing the squads' self-organization first Optimizes squad members performance and development through empowerment and DSO principles, displaying VACC behaviors, coaching, feedback, discipline Sponsor OnePSS and holds Unit accountable for maintaining/ advancing in OnePSS practices, connecting with OnePSS experts outside of the Unit as well Close connection with other Unit Leads on and off site, supporting squad members to ensure that the Unit is receiving the support/resources they need (unit GO-Tos, engineers, advisors, etc.) Holds own Unit and other Units accountable on the DSO design principles, ensuring that the site's mission critical work is being prioritized Promotes fluid talent and resource flow within the Unit, being outcome oriented - prioritizing the squads' self-organization first and being as escalation point when needed Ensure Unit's representation in Tier 2 and appropriate escalations to Tier 3 meetings, by self participation or delegating to squad representatives Gemba walks one or multiple times a week Supports squads to achieve appropriate staffing of shifts/areas, including absences coverages - prioritizing the squads' self-organization first and being as escalation point when needed Ensures Unit compliance (e.g., formal approvals, trainings, Bayer's policies), while empowering the squads as much as possible Co-responsible, with squad members, to maintain safe and timely delivery of quality supply based on production schedules, while maintaining an efficient operation Have visibility of site's P&L, connecting Unit's priorities and deliveries to the site's overall goal Inspire the development, exploration, and execution of creative ideas in rapid cycles (90 Days) Models VACC behaviors: Facilitating the co-creation of a shared vision and higher purpose that resonates with customers (V); Designing, evolving and integrating the way we work – practices and processes – and shaping the culture to deliver the mission (A); Acting as an active multiplier of change, removing obstacles and connecting different parts of the system (C); Helping employees develop capabilities and mindsets to thrive and foster inclusion and empowerment (C).

KEY WORKING RELATIONS:

SA FFP Head Other Units & Unit Support Squad within Off-site enabling support teams/squads (IT, HR, Legal, Finance, Procurement, PS teams and any other applicable)

WHO YOU ARE:

Bachelor/Master in Science / Chemical Engineering >10-15 Years of experience in manufacturing, people manager, leadership skill Strong communication in English, Gujarati and Hindi Collaborates, Efficiency, Flexibility, Resilience Understanding of procedures/protocols with Legal/Labor Relations, Regulatory, SSHE and Quality requirements Ability to prioritise and handle escalations
