We are looking for Data Scientists who will support our product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data.

They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.

You should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources and have familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of machine learning methods.

Overall, you'll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.

The micro-influencer platform Momspresso MyMoney enables women to earn by participating in marketing campaigns from brands they use and love.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and organize raw data
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop scoring and recommendation algorithms for different products and usecases.
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
  • Develop A/B testing method for testing model efficacies.
  • Develop monitoring tools to gather data and analyze outcomes.
  • Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
  • Identify opportunities for data acquisition
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to accrue data outcomes.

Skills Required:

  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, etc.
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their realworld advantages/drawbacks.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (Postgres, MySQL, Cassandra)
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers: Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Coremetrics, Adwords, Crimson Hexagon, Facebook Insights, etc.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, etc.
