Motto
a) Wardens/Matrons need to provide holistic, pastoral care to the boarder students and make them comfortable and at ease, in a homely environment.

b) Matrons/Wardens need to be responsible for health and well-being of the students and the smooth running of the domestic side of the school life.

c) Helping students settle in school life

2.
Orientation
a) Check list of clothing, toiletries, books etc as required when they come from home

b) Check admission records and slips

c) Psychological support for students and parents

d) Escort and assist students in eating properly at the dining table

3.
Maintenance of bed lines, uniform & toiletries
a) Making sure the student wears clean and well ironed clothes

b) Mending and repairs of clothes, shoes, bags etc.

c) Weekly cleaning and setting cupboards and lockers

d) Weekly cleaning of PT shoes, slippers & school going shoes

e) Weekly changing of bed linen and towels

4.
Supervised cleaning & domestic staff
a) Matrons/Wardens to supervise the maintenance staff in respect to dormitories, to sweep and mop floors, clean the windows, mop the ceiling and night toilets.

Moreover, the maintenance staff are responsible to sweep and mop along the corridor, stairways, general toilets, weeding the gardens, etc.


5.
Taking the Dhobi Account
a) Washer-man / Dhobi takes the soiled clothes & uniforms, such as PT Kit, bed linen and pillow cases, blankets, counterpanes, personal clothes of students for washing twice a week

6.
Maintenance of dormitory
a) Wardens/Matrons need to check electric points, fans, tube lights, geysers, faucets, drain fixtures, beds, cupboards, on a daily basis

b) Report the need for repair & replacement in the Complaint Book (outside the Maintenance Office)

c) Indent and dispense with cleaning equipment like detergents, soap, mops, brooms, hand-wash etc on a monthly basis

7.
Keeping student records up to date
a) Personal particulars, with addresses, phone numbers, contacts with parents

b) Register for laundry

c) Maintaining Exeat Slips

d) Counselling register should be maintained by Warders/Matrons.

e) Wardens/Matrons to accept any other duties given by Principal/Administrative officer.

f) Matrons maintain Indent/Orders phenyl, brooms, mobs, etc. for the dormitory on monthly basis.

8. Medical Emergencies
a) Wardens/Matrons inform nurse on duty to attend to the student in emergencies.

b) Wardens/Matrons to familiarise themselves with the use of dressing material in an emergency & update of emergency medicines, e.g. crocin etc.

9.
Reporting of incidents
Reporting of any unusual incidents to the Administrative Officer & the Principal
