Field Archaeologist

We are looking for a Field Archaeologist at Indo Archaeology Research. We specialize in conducting comprehensive archaeological surveys, excavations, and research projects aimed at understanding and interpreting past civilizations.

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Field Archaeologist to join our team.

As a Field Archaeologist, you will be responsible for conducting archaeological fieldwork, including surveys, excavations, and documentation, to uncover and analyze historical artifacts and sites.

You will work closely with a team of archaeologists and researchers to contribute to our understanding of past civilizations and cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct archaeological surveys to identify potential sites of interest.
• Plan and execute excavation projects using appropriate archaeological methods and techniques.
• Record and document findings, including photographs, drawings, and written descriptions.
• Analyze artifacts and samples collected during fieldwork.
• Collaborate with team members to interpret findings and contribute to research publications.
• Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines for the preservation and protection of archaeological resources.
• Participate in public outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness about archaeology and cultural heritage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
• Proven experience conducting archaeological fieldwork, including surveys and excavations.
• Strong knowledge of archaeological methods, techniques, and best practices.
• Proficiency in archaeological recording and documentation methods.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently in remote field locations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Salary:
₹2, ₹2,800.00 per day
