We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

Associate, Data Science, AI Markets.

Principal responsibilitiesAs an AI/ML Engineer for HSBC's flagship AI platform, AI Markets, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing cutting-edge AI-driven solutions that revolutionize institutional investor interactions with global markets.

Leveraging your expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing algorithms and models to deliver advanced NLP capabilities, insightful analytics, and personalized experiences for clients in the financial industry.


Algorithm Development:

Design and develop AI algorithms and machine learning models to power advanced NLP capabilities, predictive analytics, and recommendation systems tailored to the needs of institutional investors.

LLM models and prompt engineering.

Model Implementation:
Implement and deploy machine learning models in production environments, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and reliability of AI-driven features within the AI Markets platform

Optimization and Performance Tuning:
Continuously optimize algorithms and models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness, leveraging techniques such as hyperparameter tuning and model retraining

Data Pipeline Management:
Collaborate with data engineers to design and maintain robust data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming structured and unstructured data from diverse sources

Research and Innovation:

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and financial industry trends, conducting research and experimentation to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:AI/ML Expertise: Extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning, including deep learning frameworks (, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and natural language processing techniques

Programming Proficiency:

Strong programming skills in Python for algorithm development, model implementation, and data manipulation, with an emphasis on efficiency, readability, and maintainability.

Financial Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with financial markets, products, and industry-specific challenges is preferred, as it enhances your ability to develop tailored AI solutions for institutional investors

Data Analysis Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods for deriving insights from large-scale datasets, identifying patterns, and making data-driven decisions

Problem-Solving Abilities:
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges and optimize AI-driven solutions for real-world applications

Collaborative Mindset:
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Continuous Learning:

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and industry best practices.
