Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and talented Data Engineering Team Lead who can manage a high-performing team of data engineers.

This role requires strong technical data engineering skills as well as the ability to provide technical guidance, mentorship, and project oversight.

The project in which the person will be assigned is a data engineering effort to support the current Data Science and Engineering team.

The application, hosted in AWS, includes EC2, S3, Lambda, Athena, DymanoDB, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, GLUE, Bedrock, SageMaker, Kendra, Amazon Q, Claude from Anthropic Titan Embeddings from in AWS, Python 3, Langchain, and Streamlit

Must
Have Skills:7+ years of experience in data engineering, building data platforms and pipelines3+ years of experience leading and managing data engineering teamsHands-on expertise with AWS data tools like Glue, Athena, Kinesis, EMR, RedshiftExperience with languages like Python, Scala and frameworks like Spark, AirflowKnowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns and big data architecturesStrong technical project management and planning skillsExceptional communication and stakeholder management abilitiesPeople management skills with the ability to mentor and develop teamsBS in Computer Science, Math or related technical degree

Desirable Skills:
Experience with DataOps and DevOps practices for data systemsExperience leading a team of Data ScientistsExposure to ML solutions (e.g.
SageMaker)Familiarity with machine learning operations (MLOps) and model deployment
