Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Draftsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting and design, excellent technical skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role involves creating detailed technical drawings and plans, collaborating with engineers and architects, and ensuring that all designs meet the required specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive architectural plans that include detailed layouts and designs for various projects.
• Develop accurate and detailed elevation and section drawings to clearly understand the project from all angles.
• Produce precise working drawings that guide construction teams, ensuring all dimensions and materials are clearly specified.
• Prepare intricate detail drawings that provide specific information about particular aspects of the project, including materials, finishes, and construction techniques.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure accurate and efficient design processes.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and presentations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior draftsmen and other team members.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to gather information and verify design requirements.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest drafting software and technologies.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications:

• A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a drafting or design role, preferably within the Civil engineering sector.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design work.
• Ability to interpret and create complex technical drawings and plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Experience with project management software and tools is a plus.
