What you will do:

  • Provide expertise and guidance as a seasoned Data Engineer in devising solutions for Data Lake and analytics-focused Data Operations.
  • Design, develop, and deploy complete data solutions (storage, integration, processing, access) on leading platforms like AWS and Azure.
  • Architect and execute Integration, ETL, and data movement strategies using AWS Glue, MSK and/or Confluent, and other COTS technologies.
  • Create documentation and blueprints for data solutions and applications.
  • Establish and manage distributed analytics platforms for analyst teams.
  • Develop streaming solutions employing Amazon Kinesis, Kafka, Talend, and Confluent.
  • Transfer data from traditional relational databases to AWS relational databases like Amazon RDS, Aurora, Redshift, DynamoDB, Cloudera, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
  • Implement ad-hoc analysis solutions with tools like Athena, and other SQL and No-SQL platforms such as Alteryx.
  • Suggest cost-effective architectures in AWS and develop optimization plans for AWS data infrastructure.

Who you are:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
  • Carry 8+ years of experience in the Data field as an Engineer and Architect.
  • Thorough knowledge of AWS and Azure storage solutions like S3, EFS, and EBS.
  • Thorough understanding of AWS and Azure compute solutions e.g., EC2.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing solutions on AWS and Azure relational databases such as MSSQL, SSIS, Amazon Redshift, RDS, and Aurora.
  • Experience in working with ElastiCache and DynamoDB.
  • Experience in designing Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Marts/Lakes.
  • Familiarity with Star or Snowflake Schema.
  • Proficient in R and Python and other cutting-edge technologies in D&A.
  • Understanding of Slowly Changing Dimensions and Data Vault Model.
  • AWS and Azure Certifications are advantageous.
