Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE Mechanical).
  • 12 years of sales & service experience in the field of Mechanical Seals or Rotary Equipment.

Job Responsibilities: The Assistant Manager - Sales & Service will be in charge of understanding customer needs and adapting mechanical seals as required. The chosen candidate will have to travel to customers in the northern part of India like Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, J&K, and Chandigarh.

Job Duties:

  • Recognize current and future customer requirements for mechanical seals by building relationships with potential and existing customers including Key Accounts like EIL, IOCL, GAIL, NTPC, NPC, etc.
  • Offer product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by promptly addressing inquiries and requests from OEMs such as KSB, Sulzer, Flowserve, KBL, KEPL, RP, etc.
  • Acquire new accounts and maintain existing ones by identifying potential customers and scheduling sales calls.
  • Evaluate improvements by examining cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer settings and suggesting necessary modifications.
  • Secure customer approval by detailing cost reductions and operational enhancements.
  • Present proposals by consulting with technical support teams.
  • Build customer trust by delivering technical information and training.
  • Prepare sales reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing sales information, engineering trends, and application data.
  • Stay updated with industry knowledge by participating in educational workshops, staying abreast of publications, and engaging in professional societies.
  • Support team efforts by achieving related outcomes as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Deep technical knowledge and grasp of mechanical seals.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and customer service within the mechanical seals & rotary equipment sector.
  • Willingness to travel extensively in Delhi and the northern region of India.
  • Problem-solving & Failure Analysis skills.
  • Product Knowledge & Trouble Shooting expertise.
  • Strong Presentation Skills.
  • Effective communication skills both in writing and verbally.
