Want to be a part of our team?A Senior Associate Network Engineer is a developing technical professional responsible for leveraging their networking skills and experience to support, design, and optimise NTT's network infrastructure.

This role works closely with network engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, security, and performance of the network environment.

This role represents a progression from an Associate Network Engineer, requiring a higher level of expertise and responsibilities.

Working at NTTKey Roles and Responsibilities:Collaborates with senior network engineers to design, implement, and optimize network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and data centre networksContributes to network architecture discussions and provide technical inputConfigures and manages network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access pointsImplements advanced features and protocols to enhance network functionalityDiagnoses and resolves network issues, utilising advanced troubleshooting techniques and toolsAnalyses network traffic patterns to identify performance bottlenecks and recommends improvementsImplements and maintains network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systemsUtilises network monitoring tools to proactively monitor network performance, analyse trends, and take corrective actions to optimize network efficiency and reliabilityCreates and maintains comprehensive network documentation, including detailed network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and incident reportsCollaborates with cross-functional teams, including systems administrators, security teams, and application developers, to ensure seamless integration of network solutionsCommunicates technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersContributes to network-related projects, migrations, upgrades, and expansionsFollows project plans, meets deadlines, and provides technical expertise to ensure successful project outcomesStays updated with emerging networking technologies, trends, and industry best practicesPursues relevant certifications and training to enhance networking skills

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, architectures, and servicesProficiency in configuring and managing network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancersIn-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and security protocolsHands-on experience with network monitoring and analysis toolsStrong documentation and communication skills to convey technical information effectivelyAbility to diagnose and resolve complex network issues using analytical problem-solving skillsProject participation experience, including adherence to project timelines and deliverablesFamiliarity with network security principles and best practicesProficient in using network administration and configuration toolsLeadership and mentorship skills to guide junior team members

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldRelevant cloud provider Network Administration certification (Azure, Google, Amazon)Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA) are beneficialRelevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent certifications are preferred

Required Experience:
Extended relevant experience in networking, including previous experience as an Associate Network Engineer or similar roleExtended experience working in a networking environmentSome experience with network securityExtended WAN and LAN experienceExtended experience in wireless equipment, protocols, standards, and wireless LAN designExtended experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plusSkills SummaryInformation Technology (IT), Networking Solutions, Network Maintenance, Network Monitoring, Network Security, Network Troubleshooting
