You will be working as Commissioning Engineer- Electrification at global grade 14 and will be part of Process Automation business Area for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India.

In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for acting as Electrical commissioning lead for medium to high complex projects.

Ensuring completion of all electrical testing and commissioning activities efficiently, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing the electrical commissioning activities to ensure quality, timely delivery within targeted costs. Ensuring implementation design changes in Electrical commissioning and the production of as built project documentation. Supporting continuous improvement of project process or product
  • Assisting in creation and presentation of proposals for engineering projects or programs (provision of bills of material, estimated engineering hours etc.)
  • Supporting Contract Managers in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.). Ensuring adherence to safety standards in the area of responsibility and mitigation of potential risks
  • Creating work plans and cost estimating in one's area of responsibility. Managing the implementation of the Electrical commissioning plan. Improving effectiveness of work plans in collaboration with other function
  • Leading and coordinating Electrical commissioning activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification. Interacting with customers and external providers for approval of plant acceptance criteria, open issues closure and performance tests
  • Managing external organizations to ensure availability of Electrical commissioning equipment, systems or services. Providing technical guidance to ensure tools or systems meet required specifications
  • Creating standard processes and tools. Ensuring that all Electrical commissioning activities comply with the required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Identifying, introducing and promoting processes and tools in one's area of responsibility
Your background

  • Diploma or B E or B Tech in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in electrical testing, trouble shooting and commissioning
  • Experience in handling power transformer with OLTC, circuit breaker, CT, PT, isolator
  • Knowledge on lightning arrestor, control, relay panel upto 220kV, switchgears, MV and LV Motor
