Overview:


Consilio is looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA to join our global database team As an SQL Server DBA, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems.

A professional database administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end
- users.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage SQL Server databases
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes
  • Monitor system's health and performance
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
  • Ensure data integrity of databases
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
  • Ticket queue management through ticketing system
  • Provide suggestions for solutions
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

Additional Responsibilities/Details:

  • Maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) including processes.
  • Experience with version control (ie: Github)

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • 4 years' degree

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • 35 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role
  • 2+ years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
  • 2+ years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models

Other Requirements:

  • MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success
