Program Officer, Primary Healthcare
(On Third Party Payroll, Randstad)**
Location: Mumbai (Travel ~ 50% of the time)

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with national and district teams to develop, implement, and monitor project strategies, and activities including the development of roadmaps, work plans, activities, reports, etc.
  • Support current and newer health systems strengthening initiatives including primary healthcare projects including the development of project briefs and reports.
  • Support in timely collation, development, and submission of project progress reports and other reporting requirements.
  • Support in developing tools, learning resource packages, capacitybuilding plans, IEC/BCC materials, etc.
  • Document best practices, case studies, and lessons learned to enhance knowledge and showcase program successes.
  • Conduct comprehensive landscaping by collecting and collating information on Health Systems and analyzing publicly available data.
  • Facilitate communication between the program team at State and PATH teams to gather updates on project progress, challenges, and potential solutions.
  • Work closely with various team members of the Technology, Innovation, and System strengthening teams as well as the project teams for the integration and implementation of the given projects promptly.
  • Undertake other tasks which may be assigned from time to time by the national or state leadership.

Required Skills:

Required Experience

  • Master in public health or health management.
  • More than 5 years of experience in the public health sector focusing on planning and implementation of public health programs and research.
  • Prior experience working in similar roles, in primary healthcare settings is desirable.
  • Technical knowledge and field experience in planning and implementation of public health programs.
  • Experience with INGOs in the health sector and/ or Ministries of Health, and the government is preferable.
  • Familiarity with the Indian public health system, flagship initiatives in the health sector, and relevant government policies/ strategies particularly NHM, NUHM, Ayushman Bharat Health & Wellness Centers etc.

Must have legal authorization to work in India.
