As a PostgreSQL DBA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of our database infrastructure.


Responsibilities:

Database Management:
Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database instances across various environments (development, testing, production).

Performance Tuning:
Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Optimize queries, indexes, and database configurations to enhance system responsiveness.

Backup and Recovery:
Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and disaster recovery. Regularly test backup and recovery processes.

Data Integrity:
Ensure data integrity by designing and enforcing data validation, data integrity constraints, and data retention policies.

High Availability:
Implement and manage database replication, clustering, and failover solutions to achieve high availability and fault tolerance.

Capacity Planning:
Monitor database growth and plan for future capacity requirements. Scale the database infrastructure as needed to accommodate increasing data volumes and user activity.

Automation:
Implement automation scripts and tools for routine database administration tasks, such as backups, monitoring, and maintenance.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to database configurations, processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Troubleshooting:
Investigate and resolve database-related issues, such as connectivity problems, performance degradation, and data corruption.

Qualifications:

B.Tech - M.Tech (CS/IT) or BCA - MCA from reputed university

Salary:
Up to ₹900,000.00 per year
