Responsibilities:

  • Develop interior design concepts, plans, and layouts based on client briefs and project requirements.
  • Create detailed design presentations, including mood boards, material boards, and 2D detailing, to effectively communicate design ideas to clients.
  • Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories that align with the design concept and meet budgetary requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure integration of interior design elements into the overall project.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, review quality of workmanship, and ensure adherence to design intent.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new materials, and technologies to continuously enhance design knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and contractors throughout the design and construction process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in interior design, preferably with a focus on sustainable design practices.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp & PowerPoint Presentation.
  • Strong conceptual and design development skills, with the ability to create unique and innovative design solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, and furniture selection, as well as understanding of construction and building codes.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design ideas to clients and team members.
  • Passion for sustainability and knowledge of green building practices is highly desirable.
