  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
  • Verifies assets, Inventory and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.
  • Completes audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings
  • Appraises adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires.
  • Maintains internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires, and recommending new policies and procedures.
  • Communicates audit findings by preparing a final report and discussing findings with auditees.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local security legal requirements by studying existing and new security legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Prepares special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and content, and participating in professional societies.
  • Must have strong knowledge of auditing & accounting standards, should have handled statutory audit assignments earlier.
  • Ability to prioritize work on multiple assignments & manage ambiguity
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, techniques and theories of financial reporting and internal control.
  • Knowledge of auditing standards, practices and techniques computer applications used in auditing and data processing;
  • Past experience of handling statutory audit assignments preferably of large private & public limited companies, listed companies, and international companies.
  • Should be able to exercise good judgment with senior professionals (partners) and influence teamwork.
  • Develops relevant data, analytics, and insights to inform strategies, plans and decisions and measure their effectiveness. Data driven, commercial and customer focused, proactive.
