Major Duties :
• Have adequate operational experience, and ability to see the BIG picture.

• Hard Core planning & management of Transport Operations.

• Standardize operations & reporting processes.

• Oversee statutory compliances, governance & Risk Analysis, etc.

• Create initiatives, new projects & minimize cost of operations.

• Be a strong People Manager – provide guidance and strong leadership to the service provider and the vendor teams.

• Strong handle on costs and ability to make the function efficient and effective.

• Provide oversight to MIS teams on dashboards, reporting.

• Relationship Management across businesses, with vendors or senior stake holders.

• Develop good networking with industry peers and read the pulse of the industry.

• Team Management – Managers , Assistant Manager and lower bands of the service provider.

• Solves problems in straightforward situations

• Analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents

• Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team

• Works within guidelines and policies
Knowledge :
• Experience in project implementation. Adequate experience of implementing cutting edge technology available in the market to improve the efficiency of operations.

• Good Analytical Ability –Budgeting, costing, reviews to management & MIS. Working Knowledge of Excel.

• Creating Business Continuity Planning strategy. Ability to handle sudden & multiple BCP Situations.

• Ability to negotiate/deal with Transport Suppliers & Procurement.

• Adequate knowledge of Labor laws.

• Ability to think ahead and create contingency plans.

• Provide strong leadership & lucid directions in crisis situations to service providers and sub vendors.

• Adaptability to corporate world, flat decision hierarchy & working with juniors.

• Must have irreproachable character, high integrity & extreme honesty.

• Have excellent inter-personal communication & presentation skills.

• Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own job discipline

• Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work

• Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations
Experience :
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Facilities Management

• Contract negotiation

• Budget planning and preparation

• Provides informal guidance to new team members
