Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Governance and Compliance Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and maintaining project governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and industry standards, and supporting various portfolio management activities.

Role SummaryAs a PMO Lead, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in project management office functions. Your expertise in project governance, risk management, and process improvement will be instrumental in driving project success and maintaining high standards of efficiency across our consulting projects.

Key Responsibilities- Project Governance and Compliance: Develop and maintain project governance frameworks.- Conduct reviews of RAIDs and reports with Project Managers to verify compliance with established guidelines.

  • Reporting and Dashboards: Generate and distribute portfolio reports, including project progress, issues, risks, financial summaries, and key milestones
  • Resource Management:
Monitor and report on resource utilisation. Ensure new joiners understand the Change Management process, portfolio deliverables, templates, and RAIDs.

  • Portfolio Management: Facilitate and chair monthly PM Community forums with clear agendas, quorum, presentations, and objectives. Continue developing the PM Community Confluence page.
  • Skills Matrix: Maintain the skills matrix, analyse development areas and areas of expertise to assist with resource planning and training opportunities.
  • Guidance and Assistance: Provide guidance on best practices, processes, and controls across other portfolios. Mentor staff on project/portfolio deliverables.
  • Terms of Reference: Create and update Terms of Reference as requested
  • Governance Calendar:
Maintain the governance calendar on a monthly basis.

Essential- Proven track record in project management within the Financial Services industry.- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in project governance and risk management.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Desirable- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).- Experience in implementing project management software systems.

  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management approaches.
  • Experience in managing complex, multidisciplinary projects.
