Liquidity and Margin Services Overview:
At BNY Mellon Markets, we assist clients in handling their trading, financing, liquidity, and collateral requirements. Our offerings include pioneering solutions, market insights, industry proficiency, and adaptable technology to aid clients in managing their risks, capital, financing, and liquidity essentials. With teams located across three continents, we deliver services like foreign exchange execution and services, securities finance, equity and fixed income execution, and liquidity and margin services.
We are on the lookout for a prospective team member to take on the role of Vice President, specializing in Anti Money Laundering/Prevention/Know Your Client, to join our offshore Liquidity & Margin Services team. This opportunity is based in Pune, Maharashtra - HYBRID.
In this role, you'll contribute in the following ways:
The individual will undertake operational, analytical, and administrative tasks to support the Liquidity and Margin Services team. Responsibilities include Representing Business for KYC Activities, Driving Rules-Based KYC Decision Making, Overseeing KYC Services, and Streamlining & Simplifying Business Engagements. Effective communication and coordination with technical and business personnel are essential.
Key Functions:
- New client onboarding -
- Reach out to clients initially to introduce KYC COE and assist in documentation collection.
- Oversee COE SLAs and ensure timely completion of KYC.
- Serve as an escalation point for COE in cases of unresponsiveness from clients.
- Ensure the inclusion of Liquidity and Margin Services products during KYC processes for new clients.
- Facilitate decision-making within the business.
- Provide sign-off on client files.
- Periodic reviews -
- Validate Markets KYC assessment for Liquidity and Margin Services client ownership.
- Confirm CRO ownership and handle ownership transfers in case of changes, collaborating with other business entities.
- Act as an escalation point for KYC COE when Liquidity and Margin Services client responsiveness is lacking.
- Serve as a delegate for CRO and Account Owner for Liquidity and Margin Services accounts, and review/sign-off on records.
- Offboarding -
- Guide decision-making processes within the business.
- Coordinate business approval for termination and client notification.
- Ensure that Client Services/Operations carry out the necessary steps for offboarding clients.
- Ad hoc -
- Maintain Liquidity and Margin Services onboarding/offboarding procedures up to date.
- Engage in KYC/AML training sessions.
- Assist the Markets KYC team in ensuring the accuracy of Division Heads and CRO names.
- Support in KYC/AML related Audits and Compliance reviews.
- Ensure proper mapping of Liquidity and Margin Services incremental new business in eKYC.
To excel in this role, we're looking for individuals with the following qualifications:
- Educational qualification –
- Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate in Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Work experience –
- 5 to 7 years of experience. Proficiency in KYC, AML, Client Onboarding and Offboarding, Client Service is preferred.
