Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in working at NGO and communitybased environment with children with disability and their caregivers
  • Impart Special Education to the assigned group of beneficiaries with speech and hearing impairment
  • Familiar with Counseling and Guidance (individual as well as group and familial)


 Documentation
  • Record Keeping (skilled at computers and data recording in excel files)
  • Bring innovation and creativity to giving a participatory learning environment
  • Acquainted working with beneficiaries with variant disabilities.


 Community Visits
  • Identify new beneficiaries and follow up with the enrolled ones.
  • Promote various extracurricular activities among students and encourage students to prepare and participate in them.
  • Curriculum planning, designing and development (Individual Educational Plan) for all age groups.
  • Identify the rehabilitative needs of the beneficiary and help them in curing the same.
  • Awareness related to different updates in the respective domain
  • Networking with various related facilitation centers to ensure linking beneficiaries with relevant services
  • Conduct peer education sessions with colleagues on knowledge sharing

Requirements:

  • 2 years diploma in Hearing Impaired (Deaf Hard of Hearing) /Indian Sign Language/Speech and Language disability
  • Advocacy, participation in Stalls, Computer class etc.
  • Work Planning, Decision Making and Prioritizing among events
  • Adaptability with the Job profile and Sensitivity towards Special Children.
  • Team Work and Time Management.
  • Ownership with the Job Role.
  • Flexibility, Adaptability and Commitment.
  • Effective Communication Skills (

Primary Languages:
English and Hindi)
