Retail today is all about being better, faster, and leaner.

In their preparation to face fierce competitive pressure, retail operations team needs to recognize the value of building the stores as brands to reinforce their marketing positioning, to communicate quality as well as value for money.

Sustainable competitive advantage will be dependent on translating core values combining products, image and customer experience into a coherent retail brand strategy.

The TRM is the pivot in leading the initiative of converting the AFS stores to AFS FOFO stores and helping towards driving the long term organization goal of self-controlled retail.- Core of this role is to execute strong Merchandise Planning processes, Profit & Loss management for the Franchisee business, Marketing activations, drive retail operational excellence through Training and PSOP Rollout.

The TRMs needs to have strong analytical skills to drive the merchandise planning processes for AFS stores, strong marketing & consumer bent of mind to drive Marketing activations and store launches, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence the various stake holders and strong Retail operations know-how to drive retail excellence.

On an average, single TRM would be handling 20 stores which would be a mix of Retail consignment, FOFO stores and buy and sell.


Major challenges are:

Effectively manage the P&L within allocated budget in order to affect a profitable performance for the area:

  • Driving the entire process of billing on weekly basis to AFS BuynSell stores and achieving the primary sales numbers through coordination with warehouse and MDP teams
  • Influencing and getting the franchisee and his staff to drive best in class retail operations

Ensuring that all stores adhere to compliance requirements (store and service standards) in all areas of operational activity, company policies and procedures

Liasioning with various teams, retail, B&M, VM, projects, retail HR, vendors, franchises, etc. internal as well as external.

Financial Aspect- Improve the profitability of business & Increase Revenue

  • Achievement of franchisee ROI
  • Weekly billing to AFS BuynSell stores & achieve primary sales
Franchisee Management- Key relationship manager with the franchisee on operational aspects and ensuring compliance on SOPs etc

  • Encouraging investment from franchisees
Merchandize Management- Merchandise Buy planning process with franchisees with strong focus on product mix and regional nuances on consumer choices

  • Ensure freshness in stores with adequate DOC
Store Operations- PSOP Excellence: Undertakes regular store audits and improve on gaps

  • Monitor operations & Ensure compliance adherence wrt Cash management, Stock Management, Cost management, housekeeping, staff attendance.
  • Drive activations to improve KPI and overall staff excellence
Understanding Consumer needs- Information Collection

  • Ensure compliance to the procedures and a high rate of registration.
  • Information Analysis
  • Understand the difference in the consumer make up between stores and utilize that knowledge to help the business customize its strategies for the stores
  • Develop rapport with top customers (approx 20) of every store.
Marketing- To drive marketing campaigns for stores through BTL activations and close working with Brand marketing teams

  • Drive CRM campaigns and build customer loyalty

Qualifications:

Post Graduate

2-5 Years
