Senior QA Analyst

As a member of the Ryan Application Development Team, this position will be a critical contributor to an ambitious strategic initiative with the goal of re-envisioning a broad suite of enterprise level applications.
The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality of software being delivered by the development Team.This includes the use of both manual and automated testing to ensure that software not only functions as the end user expects but also that software follows company standards.
The Ryan Application Development Team promotes an open-minded atmosphere of learning and growth and expects the same from candidates. We want to foster a positive and enthusiastic can-do attitude with our work.Candidates should have a sense of where things are going and have experience using best of breed tools, technologies, and practices.
This role is a formative one for the future of application development within Ryan, LLC and will be best filled by candidates hungry to have a huge impact.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key ResultsPeople:Creates a positive team member experience.Provides feedback to Business Analysts to ensure that requirements are clear and specific enough to convey the needs of the business
Client:
Develops, executes and maintains test plansReads and translates requirements into meaningful manual and automated test casesExecutes test plans and provides meaningful feedback on resultsWorks with Application developers to resolve issues and document bugsUse Jira or DevOps to document issues and enhancements in the appropriate mannerMaintains a schedule of testing across multiple software applications to ensure prompt feedback to developers
Value:
Basic knowledge and understanding of SQLExperience in DB testing and in writing simple to medium complexity SQL queriesDevelops and maintains documentation for all testing activitiesAssumes responsibility for the quality and compliance with standards and requirements for all Ryan applicationsAlerts the Product team to potential issues in a constant feedback loopPerforms other duties as needed and assignedRegression testing of the applications during the application releasePerforms other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems is preferred or equivalent work experience. Four to six years of hands-on administration experience with Software Quality Assurance and issue documentation.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong analytical skills; strong oral and written communication skills; and excellent customer service skills and attitude.

Valid driver's license required

Work Environment:
Standard indoor working environmentOccasional long periods of sitting while working at computerPosition requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors as necessaryIndependent travel requirement: less than 10%
