US Accountant - Role Description
We are looking for a full-time on-site role for a highly skilled and experienced Senior US Accountant.
The ideal candidate
should have
seasoned professional needs to have an extensive experience with QuickBooks and expertise in financial management, reporting, and compliance within the United States context.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and will play a key role in managing the company's financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2Experience: Minimum of 5 plus years of accounting experience, with at least 3 to 5 years of experience using QuickBooks.
3Technical Skills:
Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of US accounting principles and practices. Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Communication:
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in IT Consulting and staffing industry accounting.
Familiarity with other accounting software and ERP systems.
Experience with financial planning and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Manage Full-Cycle Accounting:
Handle all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Reconcile Accounts:
Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
Payroll Processing:
Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Tax Preparation and Compliance:
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Expense Tracking:
Monitor and categorize company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
Accounts Receivable and Payable Management:
Oversee invoicing, payment processing, and collections. Ensure timely payment of invoices and bills.
Financial Analysis:
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
Software Maintenance:
Maintain and troubleshoot QuickBooks software, ensuring it is up-to-date and functioning correctly.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
