General Summary:


Job Overview The Engineering Compute Technologies (ECT) group manages multiple QCT Design centers worldwide and enables engineers to leverage hardware and software resources globally.

As an experienced member of the ECT group, you will be responsible for driving development and optimization efforts for EDA execution environment.

This job role includes path finding efforts to optimize the engineering workflows as well as architectural innovations towards next generation computing infrastructure.

As a member of the team the person will be not only expected to deliver the technical requirements /solutions, but also be able to to present and justify the solutions in group forum and to senior leadership team of Engineering and IT.Job responsibility includes working as individual contributor or team member and a SME with excellent troubleshooting skills addressing complex problems and mindset to explore , define and pilot new solutionsThis role demands to collaborate with EDA H/W design teams as well as domain technologist to define and deliver work load efficiently.

Front-line support to our global engineering base for engineering infrastructure issues in partnership with EDA H/W and IT teamPersonnel should have exposure to latest EDA technology trends and HPC environment.

Need to work with both cross fucntionals teams to explore new technology and features .Good knowledge in Linux (SLES, Ubuntu, RHEL), automounters, NFS Storage and other Infra components.

Good knowledge in LSF or other schedulers with understanding of EDa workflows.

Work closely with EDA flow owners to improve the flow quality, resolve issues identifiedIntermediate data analysis and interpretation skills, development of solutions for improving parallel and distributed job processing in HPC environment and interaction with EDA workflow leadershipCollaborate with engineering on design and development of future software initiatives .

Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment and desire to be involved in diverse and innovative projectsGood Communication - Verbal, written and presentation skillsMust have good interpersonal skills and should be able to mentor and motivate team members.

Work directly with internal business partners to ensure new system and applications operate according to user requirement specifications.

Provide periodic training to engineers and administrators or our GRID solutions and optimization opportunitiesDesire to be involved in diverse and innovative projects.manages individual project priorities, deadline and project deliverable.

Anticipate complex issues and discuss with in inside and outside the project team to maintain the open communications.6+ Years of relevant experience with a proven track record of working with EDA Tools in ASIC design work in a shared compute resource environment.

Hands on experience in ASIC design work in a shared compute resource environmentC/ C++/ Python/ Perl scripting experience is a must and Splunk/IBM LSF will be an additional preferencePersonal should have exposure to latest EDA technology trends and HPC environment.knowledge in Unix/Linux operating systemMin.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field6+ years of work experience in EDA workflow development/deployment/debugDebug LSF, license, workflow related issues and provide resolution working with IT/CAD.
