Role Overview:

This role involves overseeing and enhancing batch and real-time data pipelines using a variety of data analytics processing frameworks. The position includes assisting in merging data from diverse internal and external sources, conducting data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) conversions, overseeing data cleansing and enrichment, and engaging in full systems lifecycle management tasks like analysis, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, and software system implementation. Additionally, the role involves collaborating on synthesizing different data sources to generate reusable and reproducible data assets, as well as analyzing and optimizing existing load processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in JCL, COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, MQ, Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, Python, and GCP
  • Extensive experience in developing Linux scripts to utilize Oracle tools such as SqlPlus, SqlLoader, and PL/SQL packages and stored procedures
  • Ability to create Python Scripts and familiarity with various Libraries
  • Demonstrated skill in researching and implementing new Libraries to align with UPS standards
  • Experience with GCP – Cloud Storage and Big Query, including SDK utilization
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts (Star Schema) and methodologies
  • Capability to provide production support for ETL processing in DIR
  • Proficiency in handling different feed types (XML, JSON, etc.)
  • Preference for familiarity with Data Visualization tools
  • Experience in Agile Framework environments
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; Master's degree is a plus
