Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Scheduling new jobs in CTRL-M and aiding for creating complex scheduling scenarios.
  • Providing Support for scheduling issues.
  • Creating Calendars as requested by customer and updating calendars for each year.
  • Maintaining the Master updates.
  • Creating various CMEM triggers.
  • Calendars maintenance.
  • Load and run OTS jobs and Performing quote requests for temporary job schedule change.
  • Provided 24/7 On-Call Coverage for any critical issues in Production environment related to scheduling and migration problems. ISPW/XLR (TOPAZ).
  • Promoting Containers / packages to production.
  • Backout/Revert Containers / packages and changing Install date and time as per request.
  • Performing request for temporary fix in Production.
  • Change Man Creating and Promoting Change Man packages to production.
  • Backout/Revert packages and changing Install date and time as per request.
  • Performing request for temporary fix in Production.
  • PANVALET Promoting packages to production from test region to production.
  • Compile and Bind through the various regions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 6+ years' experience in Mainframes batch and console operations Proficient in MVS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS and other Mainframe related Tools for Batch.
  • Environment Experience in scheduling onrequest batch jobs that require immediate execution.
  • Experience in working on console.
  • Ability to invoke resolution and restart procedures in case of failures in the batch jobs.
  • Mainframe System Knowledge, Basics of Mainframe operations, networking.
  • Expertise on monitoring tools like IBM Omega Mon, CA Insight, BMC Main view etc.
  • Good Knowledge on z/OS and DB2 system performance tuning methods.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Working knowledge on Mainframes job operations tools such as CA7 / Control-MYou love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies.
  • Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management.
  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Uptodate technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
  • Mainframe System Knowledge, Basics of Mainframe operations, networking.
  • Expertise on monitoring tools like IBM Omegamon, CA Insight, BMC Mainview etc.
  • Good Knowledge on z/OS and DB2 system performance tuning methods.
