  • Understand the production plan
  • Prepare the supplier schedule based on the previous month's closing stock
  • Review shortage report and ensure material availability as per production plan
  • Maintain minimum/maximum levels and safety stock
  • Ensure defect-free parts online
  • Acquire knowledge about raw material specifications and manufacturing processes of all types of indirect materials and services
  • Effectively coordinate quality-related issues with suppliers
  • Identify cost improvement opportunities
  • Reduce inventory, procure small lots, and increase the number of inventory turns
  • Timely release PO's/SA's to suppliers
  • Coordinate with stores for sorting out GRN-related issues
  • Process POs against purchase requisitions, float RFQs, conduct cost comparisons and negotiations
  • Negotiate CAPEX purchase orders, terms and conditions, ensure delivery within committed timelines
  • Prepare service agreements/contracts
  • Verify service bills and submit to finance with required documents on time
  • Coordinate with Finance for supplier payments
  • Ensure rejection is sent back with proper documentation
  • Participate in review meetings regarding shortages (internal and along with Production)
