ABOUT THE JOB

A. Designation: Associate Professor specializing in Computer Science/IT/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning

B. Job Purpose & Role: To educate, research, and serve the institution for academic, institutional & student development.

C. Required Expertise

  • Proficient in Computer Science/IT with programming experience
  • Adept at staying updated on the latest advancements in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, cloud computing, blockchain technology, cyber security.
  • Proficient in integrating technology effectively in teaching methods.
  • Demonstrated history of outstanding subject delivery for students and achieving commendable results/awards/positions in the university.
  • Ensuring student welfare regarding teaching, progress, and examinations.
  • Designing, developing, and delivering various study programs at different levels
  • Leading the establishment and maintenance of academic standards and quality in the subject area.
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to define and implement student learning strategies & innovative evaluation methods
  • Engaging students meaningfully through classes, seminars, workshops, conferences, events, practical projects applying subject knowledge.
  • Teaching courses as per the prescribed syllabus and regulations issued by the university periodically.
  • Linking industry with academia to provide practical experience leading to student skill enhancement.
  • Mentoring junior faculty members to develop / maintain lesson plans, lecture notes, model question papers, attendance records, manuals, etc.
  • Ensuring discipline and well-being of the students.
  • Ensuring Quality (NBA, ISO, NAAC) and innovative education for students through continual monitoring of subject matter, publications, and journals, teaching aids, Laboratory facilities
  • Engaging in quality research, with a strong academic background and record of publication of books/research papers/IPR/patents.
  • Continuing to advance one's status as a respected researcher, through publications, external funding, and other relevant benchmarks in the field.
  • Representing the Institution nationally and internationally for branding purposes.
  • Leading and coordinating research efforts in the subject area.
  • Overseeing research and other collaborative agreements with other institutions and external entities.
  • Producing publications of international repute or disseminating research findings through relevant media channels in the discipline.
  • Networking and collaborating to enhance research quality in the field by involvement in quality assurance, external bodies, research councils, organizations, and research funding entities

D. Requirements & Experience following AICTE/UGC standards:

  • ME/M.Tech and BE/B.Tech in Computer Science /Information Technology from IITs, IISc., IIITs, NITs, esteemed universities & consistently maintaining a first-class record
  • PhD Degree in the relevant field of study from a renowned university
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching / research / industry with at least 2 years of Post Ph.D. experience.
  • At least 6 research publications in SCI journals/ UGC / AICTE approved journals.
  • Experience with PhD publications and supervision of PhD candidates is advantageous.
  • Prior Industry and International Exposure is preferable.
