What will you be doing?Support with the planning/scoping, execution and reporting of Assurance tests and reviews utilising data analytics testing techniques.

Utilise logic and analytical skills in reviews while providing assurance and identifying issues.

In partnership with other areas of Compliance, investigate issues (actual or perceived).Provide guidance to stakeholders on the remediation of control weaknesses and outcome risks by participating in discussions and using technical knowledge so these can be remediated effectively.

Propose action plans to address root causes of issues identified in reviews.

Support the realisation of the Compliance Assurance Data Analytics team strategy and initiatives; engage and collaborate with Compliance colleagues in the development and implementation of strategic systems and processes to improve ways of working.

Support the team to build capability to deliver assurance reviews; share good practice with colleagues on executing assurance work.
Complete other duties at the discretion of the head of Compliance Assurance Data Analytics and senior management.

What were looking for:

  • Ability to perform data analytics/data profiling on structured and/or unstructured data
  • Experience with some of the commonly used data analytics tools/languages used in the team e.
g. SQL, SAS, Python and data visualisation software such as Tableau-Excellent influencing and communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to all levels of the businessMinimum educational qualification required for the role is GraduateSkills that will help you in the role:
  • Experience in developing and executing testing/assurance strategies to assess control environments; as part of a systems/IT assurance function, internal or external audit role, or as part of a risk management function
  • Experience and knowledge of compliance and/or financial crime regulations, risks, technology systems/solutions
  • Experience in completing assurance reviews/controls testing/audits to a high standard or with minimal supervision
