About this role:
The Tax Associate will provide international tax support for U.S. publicly traded company with business operations in 85 countries. The position involves a high level of interaction with employees throughout the organization, including the treasury, accounting, finance, and legal departments

What you'll do:

  • This individual will work on a variety of international tax matters including but not limited to the following activities:
  • Prepare U.S. GAAP monthly, quarterly and annual income tax provisions and FIN48 /ASC 740 reserves
  • Prepare U.S. and nonUS tax returns pertaining to nonU.S. operations
  • Interact with local accountants and nonUS tax advisors to coordinate the preparation of local income tax returns
  • Calculate Earnings and Profits, Tax Pools, and Subpart F income for Non-US entities, working with tax manager/director
  • Complete U.S. Tax Forms 5471, 8858 and 111
  • Assist in modeling exercises including forecasting cash taxes, earnings and profits, effective tax rate, and FTC utilization
  • Draft responses to notices and inquiries from various taxing authorities
  • Participate in special planning projects, research and document issues and opportunities

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent; Master of Science in Taxation or CPA (preferred)
  • Minimum of 24 years' experience in corporate income tax compliance
  • Public accounting and/or in house corporate tax experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with HFM and with Corptax software to prepare US GAAP provision and US tax return
  • Proactive, attentive to detail, strong sense of ownership
  • Able to multitask and prioritize with support of manager
