Engineering Lead

Position Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior engineers to design, implement, and deploy applications
- Own the delivery of an integral piece of a system or application
- Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
- Create and execute quality plans, project plans, test strategies, and processes for development activities
- 6+ years of Software Development experience
- Strong design and coding skills in Java, C/C++, SQL
- Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development
- Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Knowledge of MS SQL, NoSQL DBs such as MongoDB
- Software development experience in building highly scalable applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with service-oriented architectures and web-based solutions
- Development team involvement in shaping product direction and defining key features
