Job description of Intensivist:
.Verify required documents for claims processing and initiate information requests in case of insufficiency.
- Conduct tele rounds, including patient reviews, daily rounds, and reviews of labs, radiology, and drug charts.
- Actively liaise with the bedside team, providing realtime critical care expertise.
- Document patientlevel data and communication effectively.
- Take responsibility for clinical management, procedures, and coordination with other consultants.
- Serve as an Intensivist cum TPA (Third Party Administrator) doctor, overseeing the intersection of critical care and insurance processes.
- Play a key role in the processing of insurance claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and adherence to established protocols.
- Demonstrate expertise in critical care to contribute to decisionmaking during daily rounds.
- Communicate with insurance providers to facilitate efficient and accurate claims processing.
- Act as a bridge between critical care and administrative functions, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
- Keep abreast of changes in medical guidelines, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in critical care processes and insurance claim procedures.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in critical care and insurance practices.
- Appropriate documentation or suggestion of medical history and progress in patients notes.
- Discussion of management with consultant surgeons, physicians
- Offer valuable insights into diagnostic test results, including laboratory findings and imaging studies, to guide appropriate treatment decisions.
