Job Title: Structural Drafter Experience: 1 to 3 years Mode of Hire (Fulltime / Contract): Fulltime Structural Draftsperson - Life Cycle Refurbishment Program

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Draftsperson to join our team, specialising in Structural Steel and lattice tower detailing for our Life Cycle Refurbishment program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed drawings, models, and documentation for structural components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement and longevity of critical infrastructure through meticulous design and drafting.

Key Responsibilities: 1.

Structural Detailing:
Create precise drawings and models of structural steel and Lattice Tower components using AutoCAD software, adhering to project specifications, standards, and codes

2Life Cycle Refurbishment:
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop refurbishment strategies for existing structures, providing detailed drawings and documentation to support the refurbishment process

3Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards

4Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers, project managers, construction team and other stakeholders to understand project objectives, provide technical support, and contribute to effective project delivery

5Documentation:
Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation, including drawings, models, and revisions, to facilitate efficient project coordination and future reference

6Problem-solving:
Identify and resolve design issues and challenges through proactive communication, collaboration, and innovative solutions

7Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to structural drafting and design, actively seeking opportunities for process improvement and skill development.


  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in structural drafting, with a focus on Structural Steel and Lattice Tower detailing.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., Spacegass, MS Tower).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques, and industry standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality drawings and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with life cycle refurbishment projects or similar infrastructure maintenance programs is an asset.
