Job Title: Seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer.

The Markets Operational Datastore (MODS) serves as a data platform that gathers structured and unstructured data from various internal and external systems, aligning it with a data model crucial to Regulatory Reporting, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Quants, and Trader Surveillance.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will collaborate with the Markets Data Platform, Data Office, and other platform stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to extract key insights from complex information and present them effectively to senior management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to lead discussions with stakeholders at various levels
  • A proactive approach in identifying, discussing, and addressing current and future risks

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in Data Engineering principles and Data Modelling methodologies
  • Over 8 years of experience in developing Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Data Lakehouse using Ab Initio and related products
  • Experience with Batch and Streaming-based integrations
  • Skills in designing and managing Docker images, containers, and cloud services like AWS
  • Sound understanding of both relational and NoSQL databases
  • Practical knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go, and advanced SQL skills
  • Proven experience in implementing data acquisition and distribution via RESTful API services
  • Experience with Apache Kafka is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and effectively

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
