Job Title: Principal SEO Strategist

Position Overview:

As the Principal SEO Strategist at QuillBot, you will be responsible for driving the SEO strategy to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings. You will work closely with the SEO director and cross-functional teams to optimise our digital presence and enhance our online visibility. The ideal candidate is a seasoned SEO professional with a strong SEO technical understanding and a passion for driving results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic growth.
  • Lead the planning and execution of effective SEO strategies to boost website visibility and attract more visitors.
  • Analyse keywords thoroughly to find new opportunities for improving content and increasing traffic.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams, like content creators and product managers, to ensure SEO best practices are integrated smoothly.
  • Conduct thorough SEO audits and competitive analysis to stay ahead of the competition and improve our search rankings.
  • Monitor and report on important SEO metrics, such as website traffic and keyword performance.
  • Identify and resolve any SEO issues promptly to ensure our website performs well in search results.
  • Experiment with new SEO tactics and scale up successful ones.
  • Use data analysis to understand website traffic, user behaviour, and conversion rates, making informed decisions to improve SEO strategies.
  • Stay informed about emerging SEO trends and technologies, exploring new approaches to enhance our SEO efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record with over 7 years of experience in developing and implementing SEO strategies.
  • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing website analytics. Executing tests, collecting and analyzing data, and identifying trends and insights to achieve maximum engagement and achieving competitive keyword rankings.
  • Proficient in technical SEO concepts and skilled in using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics.
  • Track and analyze website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates to assess the effectiveness of SEO strategies and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Passionate about ongoing learning and staying updated with the latest trends in SEO and digital marketing.
  • Able to identify search intent and determine necessary content for achieving top Google rankings.
  • Skilled in prioritizing impactful SEO initiatives based on their potential impact and the effort required.
  • Proficient in project management to oversee various SEO projects concurrently and problem-solving skills
