Where you fit
Real Estate (RE) oversees the Group's real estate portfolio, Shell Business Operations, and Corporate Travel program. The primary aim is to facilitate Shell Businesses in achieving their objectives by establishing secure, safe, and efficient environments that enable individuals to perform optimally.
The extensive RE scope consists of one of the world's largest real estate portfolios, encompassing offices, industrial facilities, labs, and accommodations for Shell Businesses, Projects, and Ventures. With a team of over 600 staff and 8000 contractors, RE influences the daily experiences of more than 82,000 employees and contractors by creating motivating environments. We support Shell's exceptional investment strategy by managing a cost-effective real estate portfolio and enhancing sustainability through improved energy efficiencies and increased use of renewable energy sources.
In this position, you will be part of Shell's RE team, known for its standing as a mature Corporate Real Estate organization. Responsibilities include developing portfolio strategies, executing commercial transactions, managing capital projects, providing facility and business operations services, and offering travel support to various Shell Businesses and Functions worldwide.
What's the role?
As an Asset Protection Manager (APM) in Asia, you will oversee the operational security of multiple sites in a cluster of countries including India, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore. Your key duties will involve ensuring a high standard of operational security, coordinating activities such as access-pass issuance, reception, and incident management with site Facility Management (FM) or via the contracted security partner.
Additional accountabilities include:
- Providing security awareness training on-site and conducting Security Risk Assessments (SRA) across all sites in the cluster following Shell Security protocols.
- Collaborating with Corporate Security, Business Integrity, and External Relations to guarantee smooth delivery of Asset Protection.
- Acting as the main point of contact with contracted security service providers.
- Supporting other countries within the region, which may require some travel.
What we need from you
- Hold a college degree with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Asset Protection/Operational Security, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Demonstrate a strong track record in leading security teams and managing security contracts.
- Show strong safety leadership with a proven record of ensuring safety goals are met.
- Have knowledge and experience in emergency response, incident management, and business continuity.
- Possess a good network within the Government and commercial security sectors.
- Ability to balance risk, standards, business requirements, and costs in developing security solutions.
- Demonstrate analytical skills, sound judgment, and an understanding of incident and crisis management.
- Experience in applying digitization and digitalization to security contracts.
- Skilled in implementing Continuous Improvement practices to enhance efficiency and foster innovation.
- Work effectively in a multicultural environment and have excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
