TM1 Solution Architect Job Description

Welcome We are currently in search of a talented TM1 Solution Architect to join our team. As a TM1 Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in managing upgrades, troubleshooting, user communication, and configuration expertise related to the TM1 application area. Your responsibilities will also involve performance tuning and collaborating with our IT team on various key topics.

In this role, you will oversee all implementations of system enhancements, ensuring they meet customer requirements while adhering to established processes. Your role demands a solid technical grasp of application and data integration, along with a comprehensive understanding of application architecture and infrastructure components.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the TM1 team, overseeing project coordination and management of Financial Planning & Analytics operations.
  • Administrate and maintain the central TM1/IBM Planning Analytics platform, which houses critical finance and controlling solutions.
  • Drive the further development of databases, including requirements, changes, master data, and testing.
  • Provide technical expertise to enhance BI processes, architecture, and the application landscape.
  • Introduce proactive ideas for continuous system and process improvements.
  • Ensure successful delivery and implementation of modifications into the production environment by collaborating with internal clients, developers, and IT peers.

Who you are:

  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in a multinational company, with a strong background in complex IT transactions.
  • Hands-on project management experience of at least 4 years.
  • 5+ years of experience in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)/Cognos.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SQL databases and queries.
  • Deep understanding of IBM Planning Analytics solution (TM1).
  • Proficiency in agile project frameworks like Scrum/DevOps.
  • Sound knowledge of TM1 development principles and its practical applications in finance.
  • Ability to support solutions based on business requirements.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and project management skills.
  • Customer-oriented with excellent communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, active listening, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in the English language.
  • Certification related to IBM analytics - TM1 is a strong plus.
  • Skilled in building, guiding, coaching, and sustaining a team of TM1/IBM Analytics experts/resources.
