Siemens is looking to hire a Project Test Engineer as part of its ongoing global expansion. This is an exciting chance to contribute to the entire software life cycle of our multiscale computational chemistry software, Culgi.

You will play a key role in the team, independently developing test plans and cases, reviewing testing checklists, and validating solutions delivered by development.

Your keen attention to detail is essential for running, monitoring, and triaging regression tests regularly. Your expertise will help enhance test coverage, tools, and processes. Effective communication with local and global team members, team leads, project managers, software developers, and management is crucial.

The Project Test Engineer will document issues, work on resolutions, and keep management informed of progress.

Responsibilities
  • Assess new product functionality.
  • Develop and document test plans and procedures to verify that our software products meet established functionality and performance goals.
  • Implement Software Testing strategies, including System, Integration, Unit, and GUI testing to meet quality requirements.
  • Test products, document and communicate test results.
  • Report software defects in detail, communicate risks, and follow up with stakeholders for timely issue resolution.
  • Develop automated testing procedures to enhance certification efforts.
  • Contribute to strategic directions for Quality Assurance and overall quality improvement plans.
  • Collaborate on quality improvement plans and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Effectively work in a globally dispersed team and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with other development areas to improve fault prevention.
  • Participate in testing projects as the Quality Assurance representative.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience
  • ● Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in molecular simulations at quantum, atomistic, or coarse-grained levels.
  • ● Experience in Physical Chemistry
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to apply advanced technical skills in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team.
  • Flexibility to work in various domain areas as needed.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics and chemical informatics is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages.
  • Significant professional experience in Quality Assurance or Testing.
  • Experience managing multi-platform test environments (Windows/Linux).
