Your role

We're looking for software engineers to:

  • Design and implement technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital pioneers in financial services
  • leverage the latest technologies to provide the best user experience
  • design, plan and deliver resilient solutions using various programming languages
  • provide technical expertise and rmendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
  • conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design
  • see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production
Your team
You'll be working in the Finance, Risk and Analytics Service (FRAS) Technology team in Pune, India.

Part of the larger Group Technology organization at UBS, FRAS Technology delivers quality, innovative solutions that support our Group Functions business partners in achieving their operational goals.

Your expertise

  • BS or MS (preferred) inputer Science or Information Technology
  • Hands on Experience as a software engineer in a globally distributed team working with Scala, Java programming language (preferably both)
  • Experience with big-data technologies Spark/Databricks and Hadoop/ADLS is a must
  • Experience in any one of the cloud platform Azure (Preferred), AWS or Google
  • Experience building data lakes and data pipelines in cloud using Azure and Databricks or similar tools.
  • Spark Developer certification from any of (Databricks, MAPR, Cloudera or Hortonworks) is added advantage but not required
  • Practice with Unixmand line tools
  • Familiarity working with agile methodology
