Description

  • Design and deliver highquality UX design solutions through storyboards, flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, site maps optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Develop personas and usage scenarios through user research and data.
  • Conduct concept and usability tests on UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages and create a report showcasing your findings.
  • Assesses and optimizes the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in user research to gather feedback on user's ease of use and satisfaction and assessing performance metrics.
  • Make strategic design and userexperience decisions related to new products & features and improvements of existing ones.
  • Presents user research results, design work, usability goals and reports to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedback. Make recommendations for design solutions, highlighting inputs that influenced the decisions including business and user goals, demographic and usage data, and research findings.
  • Contributes to the group's shared knowledge of usercentered design and research methodologies.
  • Works alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle.
  • Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry's latest trends and technologies. Conduct competitive analyses of other products that operate in the same space.
  • Independently handle complex issues with mínimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree with a major or minor in UX Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, humancomputer interaction (HCI) or other related disciplines, OR commensurate experience with design and analytics in lieu of pursuing a related major/minor.
  • A solid grasp of usercentered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Experience with creating flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, user interface designs for mobile and/or desktop, and conducting usability testing using tools provided.
  • Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite OR comparable software.
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobilefirst and responsive design. A clear understanding of the importance of usercentered design and design thinking.
  • Familiarity with Material Design.
  • Strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
  • Strong prioritization and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong information research and gathering skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong aptitude for both technology and business.
  • Experience working in a collaborative multidisciplinary team and working directly with software engineers and product managers for implementation of designs.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
  • Experience in a highly Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven work experience as user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role.
  • Master's in Human Factors, HCDE, or Cognitive Psychology a plus.
  • Strong portfolio of design projects for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Fluency in best practices for web and mobile based information architecture and interaction design
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Experience working in the agricultural technology field or experience designing for the bottom of the pyramid users.
