PHINIA will be a product leader in fuel systems and aftermarket distribution with balanced and synergistic exposure among Commercial Vehicle (CV), Light Vehicle (LV) and Aftermarket end markets, with embedded relationships with global OEMs and a focus on the global vehicle parc.


As well as being an industry leader in combustion technologies and chassis systems PHINIA will also be driving the transition to green fuels and hydrogen combustion by developing effective solutions to decarbonize the future of transportation.

Position Summary


We are currently looking for a "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a CFD Engineer at our Technical Centre India, Bengaluru location.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Improve 1D flow model capability and prediction accuracy using 3D CFD models
  • Provide feedback from analysis results to drive design changes for system optimization
  • Interpret customer requirements and propose design options to meet requirements
  • Develop and publish best practices for simulation methodology using CFD tools
  • Develop model/test correlation from the available model/test data
  • Develop new methodology/tools to improve predictive engineering capabilities
  • Write reports to summarize CAE projects
  • Give presentations to internal and external customers

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • MTech/ME in Mechanical Engg. with specialization in Thermal/CFD engineering
  • Experience in 1D flow, hydraulic multiphase internal flow, Lagrangian spray modeling, engine fuelair mixing is mandatory
  • Working experience with 1D flow and 3D CFD solvers
  • AMESim, GT Suite, Ansys Fluent, Ansys Forte/Converge
  • Working experience with CAD and meshing tools
  • UG NX/Spaceclaim, ICEM CFD, Fluent meshing/Ansys workbench.
  • Exposure to Ansys Fluent UDF C coding, Python programming is a plus
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently on projects with timely completion of project targets
  • Ability to work with global teams, manage workload and provide design support
  • Excellent people skills, history of teamwork, oral and written communication skills required
