JR49728 Senior Engineer, OPC Production
As an Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) engineer, you will work in Micron's reticle data preparation organization to process reticle design data through OPC enabling our Production and R&D fabs to print on wafer using photolithography as intended by the Designers.
Aside from running reticle data through correction, you will also be expected to develop processes, automated verifications, and systems to support OPC processing.
Working in Micron's MaskTech department, OPC Engineers collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Process Integration, Mask Development, Scribe, Lithography, Tapeout Operations, Mask Shop and Fab.
Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of teams to ensure inputs and outputs to the tapeout process are accurate and of the highest quality.
Interested candidates should be comfortable working a non-standard work week (For Example, Friday through Thursday) to help Micron improve our speed of development and response times to the needs of our Manufacturing and R&D Fabrication FacilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Drive OPC Jobdeck development and process flow executionWork independently with the Mask and Litho Development team to advocate the use of best-known methods (BKM)Apply project management skills to projects and demonstrate the ability to exchange complex information with customersEvaluate optical proximity correction process issues and execute provided solutionsImplement improvements in toolsets or processes to reduce cost, errors, cycle time, while increasing quality throughputUnderstand OPC recipes and resolve the issues to ensure a quality production environmentDevelop OPC recipe codes to test new ideas and solutionsCoordinate with Mask Litho engineers to develop new OPC flows and offer solutionsCommunicate clearly to management and stakeholders on highly complex informationDocument and report issues to related groupsTroubleshooting with strong problem-solving skills to drive problems to resolution; identify and manage risksFacilitate effective meetings with key stakeholdersSuccessful candidates for this position will have:
Proven track record in working with peopleLinux operating system familiarity is desirableOutstanding interpersonal and teamwork skillsExcellent organizational, multi-tasking and management skillsHigh degree of self-initiative and ability to work under tight timeframes and be able to react to changing, sometimes competing priorities in a timely fashionProgramming skill (python, perl) is a plusProficient with Microsoft Office Suite applicationsLayout viewer ( K2View) experience; DF2 database layout experience is idealBasic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing technologies (basic CMOS understanding is desirable)
Basic understanding of lithography and photo masksExperience working with off-shore teams (US and Japan desirable)Strong verbal and written ability in EnglishEducation:
Bachelor's or Master's in EE or related science disciplineExperience:Minimum two years experience in the semiconductor industry
