Job Summary

Receives work assignments through Service First

or from Lead Administrators and management.
Performs server and storage hardware/software installation and maintenance tasks. These tasks range from standard in nature to moderately complex.
Installs and maintains infrastructure management tools.
Provides standard problem identification and resolution support services.
Uses infrastructure management tools to perform server/storage performance monitoring and capacity planning functions.
Contributes to the design, development and implementation of departmental workflow processes and procedures.
Provides guidance and support to internal and external customers on server/storage infrastructure services and workflow processes.
Required to provide on-call support during off-duty hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays on a scheduled/rotating basis.
Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.
Works autonomously on assigned installation, maintenance, support, and problem identification/resolution tasks of a standard nature.
Under guidance and direction from senior-level technical personnel, works on complex technical tasks.

Good working knowledge of current Microsoft Windows operating systems and associated components with proficiency in installation, maintenance, and operational support in large scale enterprise environments.


Windows Server/ Desktop Administrators:


Good working knowledge of Network Attached Storage with proficiency in storage administration and management support in a large-scale enterprise environment.

General knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems as it relates to Network Attached Storage.
Basic working knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud Storage as it relates to Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Basic working knowledge OneDrive cloud Storage as it relates to Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Basic working knowledge of Distributed File System (DFS), File Shares, Accessed Based Enumeration (ABE) and NTFS rights as it relates to Microsoft Windows operating systems.


Miscellaneous Technical Skills (All):
Good analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot infrastructure problems specific to their area of technical expertise.
Working knowledge of PowerShell or other tools to enable workflow automation.
Working knowledge of infrastructure management tools specific to their area of technical expertise (Robocopy, AZ copy).

Administrative/Interpersonal Skills (All):
Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work assignments.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work as a member of a multi-cultural, multi-location, team.
