Job Description :

Position Overview :

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead the company's technological vision, development, and implementation. The CTO will be responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and a proven track record in leading technological innovations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Strategic Leadership :

Develop and implement the company's technology strategy in alignment with its business objectives.

Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture.

Ensure that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs.

2. Cloud Technology Management :

Lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based solutions on AWS.

Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of the company's cloud infrastructure.

Manage and optimize AWS resources and services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others.

3. Team Leadership :

Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing technology team.

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Drive the recruitment and retention of top technical talent.

4. Project Management :

Oversee the planning and execution of major technology projects.

Ensure timely delivery of technology solutions that meet business requirements.

Implement best practices for project management, including Agile methodologies.

5. Security and Compliance :

Ensure the company's technology framework is secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Implement robust cybersecurity measures and conduct regular security audits.

Manage data privacy and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

6. Stakeholder Engagement :

Collaborate with executive leadership to define business and market strategies.

Communicate the technology strategy to partners, stakeholders, and investors.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all technology-related inquiries.

7. Innovation and Research :

Stay abreast of technological advancements and emerging trends in the cloud computing industry.

Evaluate and integrate new technologies that provide competitive advantage.

Drive the innovation agenda, fostering a forward-thinking technological environment.

8. Budget and Resource Management :

Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Monitor and control expenditures to stay within budgetary constraints.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure financial efficiency in technology operations.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

10+ years of experience in technology roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.

Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure is essential.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in AWS technologies and services.

Strong understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and cybersecurity principles.

Leadership Skills :

Proven leadership and team-building skills. Ability to manage and mentor a diverse technology team.

Strategic Thinking :

Strong strategic and analytical thinking capabilities.

Ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.

Communication :

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Project Management :

Expertise in project management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.

Preferred Qualifications :

AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification.

Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.

Background in AI, machine learning, or big data analytics.

Prior experience in a fast-growing tech company.
