Lead Assistant Manager- Analytics (SQL Developer)



**Role Overview:**


  • The individual will be part of a data services team for a prominent Insurance client.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to devise solutions for implementing data-driven decision making in a cost-efficient and scalable way.
  • Engaging actively in brainstorming sessions for enhancing opportunities and seeing them through within an agile framework.
  • An ideal candidate must have over 2 years of experience as a database developer with a proactive approach.
  • Must have the ability to navigate through uncertain situations.
  • Prior experience in the insurance sector is advantageous but not obligatory.

  • Application development Skill sets:
  • Strong foundational knowledge in computer science including algorithms, data structures, multithreading, object-oriented development, distributed applications, and client-server architecture.
  • Competency in designing and executing data processes:
  • Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with MS SQL, or UDB.
  • Extensive experience with Stored Procedures.
  • Enhancing and streamlining data pipelines, data flow, and accumulation for diverse team requirements.
  • Constructing and preserving optimal data pipeline structure by curating extensive, intricate data sets to fulfill business needs.
  • Identifying and implementing internal process enhancements by automating manual operations, enhancing data distribution, and revamping infrastructure for enhanced scalability.
  • Supporting the establishment of data platforms and essential infrastructure for effective data extraction, transformations, and loading from a broad array of sources.
  • Collaborating with architectural, data, and design teams to address data-related technicalities and cater to data infrastructure demands.

  • SSIS
  • ETL/ELT
  • Acquaintance with AWS
  • Knowledge of Denodo
  • Background in Mainframe Development
  • Experience in web services, streaming, and messaging technologies is a value add

Candidate Profile:


  • BS/MS degree in computer science/engineering, operations research, or related analytics fields is encouraged to apply
  • Over 2 years' experience in database development, preferably in Life Insurance but not compulsory
  • Advanced Proficiency with SQL and Stored Procedures in a distributed environment.
  • Team Management capabilities
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication proficiency
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and tackle challenging tasks
  • Understanding cross-cultural disparities and collaborating with global clients efficiently
