Position: Faculty - Hotel Management

Job Description: Saanvi Kalyaan Foundation is in search of a vibrant and seasoned Faculty member to be a part of our Hotel Management department. The Faculty will play a crucial role in giving lectures, organizing practical training, and guiding students in various hotel management aspects. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, exceptional teaching abilities, and a dedication to nurturing future hospitality experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching and Learning
  • Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions to students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management.
  • Design and craft course curriculum, learning resources, and assessments that align with industry standards and hotel management practices.
  • Lead interactive discussions, case analyses, and group projects to encourage active learning.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to students to enhance their professional growth.
Practical Training
  • Organize and oversee practical training in various hotel operations areas such as front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and events management.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to arrange internships for students to gain industry exposure.
  • Ensure availability of required resources for practical training.
Industry Networking
  • Build and uphold strong partnerships with hotels, resorts, and hospitality organizations.
  • Arrange guest lectures, industry visits, and workshops to enrich students' understanding of hotel management practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in the hospitality sector.
Assessment and Evaluation
  • Create and conduct assessments, examinations, and project evaluations to assess students' knowledge and skills.
  • Establish evaluation criteria, grade student work, and provide constructive feedback for academic progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, and assessments.
Professional Development
  • Engage in continuous professional development by attending conferences, workshops, and courses related to hotel management and education.
  • Participate in faculty development programs to improve teaching skills and stay updated with education best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or related field. Master's degree in Hotel Management preferred.
  • Experience: 0-1 years of teaching experience in hotel management or related field. Industry experience in hospitality sector advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent teaching and presentation skills.
    • Strong knowledge of hotel management principles and practices.
    • Ability to create and deliver effective lectures and interactive sessions.
    • Proficiency in instructional technology and online learning platforms.
    • Awareness of current industry trends and technologies in hospitality sector.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
