Position Description

This position is responsible for technically leading the test automation design and development for smart home control applications and mobile applications system for Residential market. You will use your automation expertise and product understanding to enable end to end automation and develop robust automation setup and voice out quality concerns and make sure to provide high quality products and applications to our customers.

Job Description Design develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Java, Appium, Selenium, GRPC and Visual C# with hands on using BDD framework. Understanding of embedded device automation like automating Relay outputs ,external sensor automation , WiFi and BLE flow automation. Expertise in setting up and debugging automation setup for iOS and Android platforms. Responsible for requirements understanding, converting requirements into effective feature files and test automation scripts. Develop test automation scripts for critical features of product and mobile applications in both iOS and android platforms. Responsible for execution of existing automation scripts and development of automation scripts for new requirements. Analysis of automation test failures and reporting results with eye on tracking failure patterns and reducing non-functional or setup failures. Work on framework improvements as per project needs and enhancements to include more capabilities. Work closely in agile environment with system test team along with cross functional teams (development, mobile app, cloud, mobile app automation) for better understanding of system to be tested and contribute to quality of products. Mentor and work with junior automation resources adhering to project schedule and provide trainings on automation to team members. What is in for you Minimum 6 years of experience in test automation development using Java, Appium, Selenium and BDD framework for both iOS and android platforms. Hands on with automation framework design and development for Hybrid frameworks and keyword driven frameworks. Understanding of Product/Firmware automation methodologies. Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Electrical/Instrumentation engineering. Should have good understanding of test processes, Agile process, SDLC/STLC. Motivated with willingness to take ownership/responsibility for their work and ability to work in Global team environment. Good analytical thinking, problem-solving and trouble shooting skills on automation setups with flexibility to learn new domain and technologies. Expertise in core Java, Appium and C# development concepts and knowledge on coding standards for test automation. Good debugging and analyzing skills on automation setup and execution challenges. Knowledge on code optimization techniques for enabling faster script execution time. Should have testing experience of mobile & Cloud based applications. We Value Home automation controls and smart home apps background is preferable. Hands on automation framework development using Visual Studio/C# is an advantage. Understanding on GRPC setup, API's testing will be added advantage. Understanding of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) domain/products is preferred.
