ABOUT DEPARTMENT

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • NETWORKING
    • Assist in the setup and maintenance of network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
    • Assist in monitoring and optimizing network performance, identifying and resolving connectivity and performance issues.
    • Assist with the setup, management, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and servers.
  • HARDWARE
    • Support PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application software.
    • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, peripherals, and networking equipment.
    • Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new hardware and networking technologies to improve efficiency and performance.
  • OPERATIONS
    • Setup & configuration of software packages & new computers.
    • Vendor Management - Identify and report system issues to vendors. Monitor and test resolution of those issues sent to vendors.
    • IT Asset Management - Assist in managing and maintaining inventory records, documentation, hardware assets, licenses, and warranties.
    • Records & Documentation - Participate in the maintenance and documentation of network diagrams, inventories, and equipment configurations, and organize and maintain IT resources.
    • Collaborate with the IT team on ad-hoc projects and tasks related to hardware and networking.
  • TECH SUPPORT
    • Assisting staff with utilization of various office technologies.
    • Provide IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, data center management, and troubleshooting hardware and network-related problems, offering timely technical assistance and collaborating with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.
    • Perform minor repairs to equipment and arrange for other servicing needs.

*May be required to perform additional responsibilities and projects upon request.

Requirements
  • Education : Bachelors/ Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems.
  • Software and Applications Proficiency:
    • Have understanding of both Windows and MacOS systems.
    • MS Office
    • Ability to learn new applications and softwares quickly.
  • Qualities & Capabilities:
    • Tech Savvy.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Solid organisational skills and attention to detail.
