In a landscape where Data plays a crucial role in our client's success, we have established a cross-functional team, the Global Data Product Portfolio (PP), to develop top-notch global Data capabilities, products, and assets to achieve various objectives across client functions and teams:

As a part of the Global Data PP, the Data Governance team focuses on implementing policies, processes, standards, and technologies to ensure data is easily accessible, comprehensible, trustworthy, well-managed, and usable while also ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Collaborating closely with the Data Governance Director and Data Stewards, we are seeking a Senior Data Governance Specialist to proactively lead the implementation of Data Governance capabilities in key Global HR areas, particularly in enhancing our Metadata Management, promoting cultural awareness, and establishing Data Quality processes. Our HR Data plays a pivotal role in the overall priorities of our client, ranging from supporting the digitalization of functions to providing analytics and information for sustained growth and success as a global organization. Data Governance within HR is gaining importance with recent investments driving a revamped strategy and implementation plan. This domain holds significant potential for thought partnership and influencing senior stakeholders. The ideal candidates will possess a goal-oriented approach, enjoy collaborating with diverse teams to deliver Data Governance capabilities, and contribute to exceptional Data Products. They should have extensive experience in enhancing Data Governance maturity in large, complex corporations and familiarity with industry best practices. Additionally, strong communication skills and a track record of engaging stakeholders (across business and technical teams) to demonstrate the business benefits of Data Governance are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Driving metadata management by aligning definitions, capturing data lineage, data classification, and updating HR items in the data catalogue.
  • Fostering cultural change by raising awareness of data governance principles and coaching relevant stakeholders.
  • Organizing Data Governance forums and workshops with stakeholders to promote compliance with governance policies.
  • Developing and implementing Data Quality processes for proactive issue resolution.
  • Supporting the implementation of Data Access controls for Global Data Products.
  • Collaborating with the Global Data Governance Director, Global Data Stewards for HR data, the Data Governance CoE, and leaders in the HR domain to continually drive our HR Data Governance Strategy.
  • Identifying data opportunities from customers, users, and business leads on HR data and ensuring delivery of customer value based on the agreed Data Governance roadmap.
  • Prioritizing and delivering on Data Governance initiatives such as Metadata Management, Data Lineage, and Data Quality to provide significant value to end customers.
  • Tracking and reporting on specific KPIs and key results, developing metrics to measure maturity and Data Quality.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing risks and mitigation plans, as well as critical decisions, to relevant stakeholders.
  • Engaging with the Data Governance community to ensure alignment and sharing best practices.

  • Communicating the vision and business value benefits of an enterprise-wide data strategy, setting the enterprise-wide Data Governance roadmap, and collaborating across diverse teams to realize them.
  • Identifying gaps and opportunities in HR data, harmonizing definitions and data flows across functions and geographies.
  • Implementing global Data Governance requirements to enable efficient data use globally.
  • Leading activities related to the HR Data Governance strategy, including Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Master Data Management, and Data Quality.
  • Adopting best practices in Data Governance, Data Management, Stakeholder Management, Project Management, and Change Management.
  • Developing analytics, frameworks, and KPIs to drive improvements in Data Quality management and data governance maturity.
  • Ensuring adherence to data policies, standards, and guidelines, and maintaining relevant Data Governance artifacts.
  • Emphasizing the importance of Data Governance for Client's success.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree, preferably in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related fields.
  • Experience in data-related or project roles (e.g. Data Management, Data Governance, CDO Office, or BI & Analytics team).
  • Passion for solving business-oriented data challenges with precision and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Data Governance best practices (such as DAMA's DMBoK & CDMP, EDM Council's DCAM).
  • Understanding of data strategy, management concepts, business processes, and tools like Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, and Data Quality.
  • Strong customer and business focus with the ability to build effective relationships and resolve conflicts.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Governance tools such as Data Catalogs and Data Quality Tools.
