Job Title: Chief Cloud Officer (CCO)

Job Description:

As a Chief Cloud Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all cloud computing strategy and implementation within the company. This includes management of cloud environments, leading cloud initiatives, and ensuring the alignment of cloud strategies with overall business goals. You will lead a team of IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of cloud services, promote innovation, and drive cloud transformation across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy that aligns with the business objectives.
  • Lead and prioritize cloud initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and effective resource utilization.
  • Provide strategic portfolio visibility and insights to enable informed decision-making and strategic direction by the leadership team.
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure management, optimizing operations and ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Build and lead a diverse, capable, and motivated team of cloud experts, driving high-quality delivery of cloud solutions with measurable benefits.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with major cloud service providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Implement both traditional and agile project management practices to ensure the right balance of oversight and delivery pace.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, evaluating the effectiveness of cloud strategies and practices.
  • Provide a supportive assurance service, helping to proactively identify and address risks and ensuring the cloud portfolio's risk profile is well managed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven leadership experience with a large, complex portfolio in cloud services or digital transformation.
  • Strong capability in driving strategic priorities and managing change across digital services.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, adept at building consensus in complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of major cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Deep knowledge of cloud security practices and standards.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure transformation and cloud migration projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications related to cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Experience in implementing machine learning and AI technologies in the cloud.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities: 1. Security Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cloud security strategy that aligns with organizational risk management policies. Stay abreast of the latest security threats and trends to continually refine the security posture of the organization's cloud environments. 2. Architecture and System Design: Design and implement security architectures for cloud-based applications and infrastructure. Oversee the integration of new security technologies and enhancements into existing cloud environments to improve prevention, detection, and response capabilities. 3. Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of cloud security architects and engineers, fostering an environment of professional growth and excellence. Manage and mentor staff, setting clear goals and expectations, and promoting a culture of high-performance and continuous improvement. 4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with IT leaders and business stakeholders to ensure that security architectures and policies support the overall business and IT strategy. Communicate complex security risks and technical issues to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and effective manner. 5. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with international and national regulatory requirements pertinent to cloud security, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and others. Conduct risk assessments and audits of cloud architectures to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures. 6. Incident Response and Crisis Management: Develop and oversee the execution of incident response plans and activities related to security breaches or other security incidents in cloud environments. Lead forensic investigations into how breaches happened and the extent of the damage. Required Skills and Qualifications: · Deep understanding of public cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with specific expertise in Azure. · Experience with security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2. · Proficiency in using advanced threat modeling tools and methodologies. Certifications: · Professional security management certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or similar. Experience: · Minimum of 10 years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years focused on cloud security architecture. · Extensive experience designing and implementing security solutions in large-scale cloud environments. Competencies: · Expert knowledge of cloud security architectures, best practices, and guidelines. · Proficiency in security systems, including firewalls, encryption protocols, and anti-virus software, with a focus on cloud-based security solutions. · Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a technical security team. · Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage under pressure. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey security needs and solutions.
